Why Accessible Healthcare Matters to MEGA

MEGA’s purpose is to help people stay healthy as long as they live. Accessible healthcare matters because good health depends not only on treatment, but also on access to good quality products, reliable health information, preventive knowledge and responsible support.

MEGA identifies Availability and Affordability of Medicines as a material social topic. Our focus is to make good quality medicines available at affordable prices in Thailand and the rest of the world. This topic is connected to how we grow, how we manage costs, how we work with suppliers, and how we serve developing and underdeveloped markets.

Access also means knowledge. Non-communicable diseases remain a major public health burden, and many health risks are linked to lifestyle. By promoting health awareness, disease prevention, lifestyle medicine and practical self-care, MEGA helps people move from passive treatment to proactive responsibility for their own health.

Our Accessible Healthcare Approach

MEGA’s approach to accessible healthcare combines four connected areas: affordable quality products, responsible supply chain and product pricing, distribution reach, and health knowledge access.

We support product access through our Mega We Care™ branded products business, which develops, manufactures, markets and sells nutraceuticals, complementary medicines, prescription pharmaceuticals and OTC health products. We also support market access through Maxxcare™, our dedicated distribution arm serving Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia with marketing, sales, distribution and logistics services.

Affordability is managed through cost discipline, supplier partnerships and supply chain optimization. MEGA works with suppliers to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency without compromising ethics, integrity, quality or regulatory compliance. Responsible product pricing is important because affordability influences healthcare choices in the markets we serve.

Health knowledge access is delivered through customer education, digital health platforms, Wellness We care Center, lifestyle medicine programs, Health Camps and public digital content. These activities help people understand prevention, chronic disease risks, lifestyle choices and ways to take better care of their own health.

Availability and Affordability of Medicines

MEGA focuses on providing good quality medicines and supplements at affordable prices, especially in developing and underdeveloped markets. We believe that affordability is part of human wellness because cost can influence whether people can access the products they need.

To support affordability, MEGA works to manage costs, optimize supply chains and collaborate with suppliers while maintaining product quality, integrity and compliance. Responsible product pricing is therefore connected to sustainable sourcing, supply chain efficiency, quality standards and long-term customer trust.

MEGA also continues to participate in healthcare markets where access to quality medicines remains important. Our product categories cover a wide range of health needs, including general health, immunity, gastroenterology, dermatology, men’s and women’s health, cough and cold, bone health, probiotics, herbal medicines, diabetes, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, urology and other therapeutic areas.

Distribution Reach and Market Access

MEGA’s distribution capability helps bring health products closer to customers, pharmacies, hospitals and consumers. Maxxcare™ is MEGA’s dedicated distribution arm, specializing in marketing, sales and distribution of branded prescription pharmaceuticals, OTC products and fast-moving consumer goods across Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia.

In Myanmar, Maxxcare™ is the leading international distributor of pharmaceuticals and OTC products and ranks among the top two FMCG distributors, with distribution reaching convenience stores and traditional retail outlets. In Vietnam and Cambodia, Maxxcare™ is the leading distributor of pharmaceuticals and OTC products, serving a wide network of drug dispensers, pharmacies, hospitals and other pharmaceutical sales outlets.

MEGA’s operations are supported by 14 strategically located warehouses across Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia. The distribution network provides access to approximately 23,000 outlets in Myanmar and 35,000 outlets in Vietnam, reinforcing MEGA’s role in expanding healthcare product availability in these markets.

Digital Health Access

Digital tools are becoming part of how people access health support. MEGA has launched digital applications including WeCare Diabetes, Mother & Child and Holistic Health, enrolling more than 23,000 users. MEGA has also conducted health-related conferences, including the Diabetes National Conference in Myanmar.

Through Health at Home, Mega We Care is committed to empowering individuals to proactively manage their health through digital innovation. The focus includes developing solutions that address both preventive and curative aspects of care. Diabetes We Care, MEGA’s flagship digital health application, has been piloted in Myanmar in collaboration with diabetes specialists, providing patients with tools to monitor and improve health outcomes.

These digital initiatives support accessible healthcare by connecting people with health knowledge, monitoring tools and healthcare ecosystem support in a more practical way.

Wellness We care Center and Lifestyle Medicine

Accessible healthcare also means helping people prevent disease and restore health through knowledge and behavior change. In 2025, the Wellness We care Center, a social enterprise under Mega We care, continued its mission to strengthen Thailand’s preventive healthcare system by adopting Lifestyle Medicine as its core academic and operational framework.

The Center focuses on health promotion, disease prevention and the management of non-communicable diseases. Its operations integrate key pillars of Lifestyle Medicine, including nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep optimization and sustainable behavior change.

The Center works alongside the empowerment of individuals to take ownership of their health, the development of health coaching professionals, and the expansion of collaborative networks to enhance long-term preventive healthcare services nationwide.
